Our Club

The Rotary Club of Barossa Valley serves the Barossa Community, South Australia, Australia and the world.
Rotary is an International organisation of people willing to help others wherever they can.
We are organised in Groups ( we are in Group 9 ) within Districts (ours is 9500)  within Oceana.

The club is set up in several committees to identify areas where we can assist.
Looking at ways we can help the local Community. examples are assisting in the set up of a Children's Daycare centre and supplying Defibrulators to the Country Fire Service.
Promoting the highest standards of business in the local community.
New Generations
Assisting Barossa youth through various means such as the National Youth Science Forum, Rotary Youth Leadership Award and direct sponsorship for selected young people.
Looking at ways to help people in other countries. After natural disasters, a Rotary Shelter Box will give a family tempory shelter and the essentials for surviving until they can get back on their feet. Clean drinking water systems and help with medical and education facilities are just a few of the ways Rotary International has helped the world. The elimination of Polio is a Rotary initiative that was taken up by the World Health Organisation and is almost complete.
Fellowship events promote goodwill and companionship within Rotary and also manage to raise funds to support worthwhile causes.
