The Rotary Club of Barossa Valley
provide Defibrillators
to  Local  CFS.

About 4 years ago, the then Club President Phil Martin challenged the Rotary Club of Barossa Valley to raise funds to buy six defibrillators for our local CFS units. On October 27th 2018 Club President Keith Adams presented the 6th defibrillator to CFS Deputy Group Officer Erin O’Doherty, thus completing Phil’s challenge. Defibrillators have been supplied to Eden Valley, Keyneton. Truro, Angaston, Tanunda and the final one will go to Nuriootpa.  PDG Peter Thomas was instrumental in raising the funds and obtaining Rotary grants to enable the challenge to be completed.
The picture shows Erin accepting the defibrillator from President Keith at the Fighting for our Farmers Wine Auction.
The CFS are early responders to fire and accident calls and having the defibrillators available can be a significant factor in saving lives.
